Ciphers and Cryptography

Ciphers have fascinated us for centuries, and not only children. Nowadays encrypted messages get more and more important, especially in the internet. Eventhough there is still a use for very simple ciphers. If you get an encrypted message you want to break the cipher and read the hidden text.

On this page I present some of the simpler cryptographic methods to cipher texts. All of those can be applied to texts with only pen and paper. If possible I also provide a tool so that you can encrypt and decrypt messages right here on this page.
